World’s Largest Rubber Duck Arrives in Seattle for Boat Show
The world’s largest rubber duck has made a splash in Seattle, taking up residence at the Lumen Field Parking Garage as part of the upcoming Seattle Boat Show, running from January 31 to February 8. This massive inflatable, affectionately dubbed “Mama Duck,” stands an impressive 61 feet tall and offers a unique photo opportunity against the iconic Seattle skyline.
Event Details
Mama Duck’s visit coincides with the Seattle Boat Show, where she will be the star attraction. Her arrival was teased on social media, where she posted a cheerful message: “Hey @seattleboatshow, see ya’ll tomorrow!” Sponsored by Ranger Tugs, this gigantic duck is sure to draw both locals and visitors eager to capture a memorable moment.
Fun Activities Inside the Event Center
Inside the Lumen Field Event Center, attendees can explore a smaller but equally charming attraction: a 20-foot Ranger Tug named “Little Toot.” This tugboat is filled with 2,000 rubber ducks, and guests can choose one for a chance to win a prize while supporting a good cause, Salmon for Soldiers.
A Local Favorite
This isn’t the first time Mama Duck has graced the Pacific Northwest. She previously delighted crowds during Tacoma’s 2017 Festival of Sail, showcasing her ability to bring joy and curiosity wherever she floats.
What’s Next for Mama Duck?
After her time in Seattle, Mama Duck is set to travel to Florida for Georgefest, which celebrates George Washington’s birthday. The Seattle Boat Show opens its doors on Friday, and families will be pleased to know that children aged 17 and under can enter for free. Tickets for the event are available online, making it easy for attendees to plan their visit and enjoy all the activities on offer.
