WordPress Tutorial – Install WordPress on PC/Windows

Why should you install WordPress on your Windows PC?

Installation via XAMPP

Migration/copy of an existing blog

The Bitnami installation conveniently comes with a plugin for importing and exporting existing blog data. With the “All-in-One WP Migration” plugin, you can migrate your existing blog locally to your Windows PC with just a few clicks. To do this, you install the plugin on the WordPress system that you want to copy to your local installation. There you then export all data including images and database via this plugin. You can then import the “export package” into your local WordPress installation via the plugin. You create an image of your live page and can now make changes locally and test. No programming knowledge is required for this either.
