Some websites or blogs have their widgets hidden. Perhaps you have deactivated the meta widget yourself and now no longer know how to get to the dashboard. Don’t despair: There is another method to log into the backend, namely with the login URL wp-admin or wp-login, which you enter into the address bar of your browser using the keyboard. Here are the individual steps you need to take:

  1. First, open your internet browser.
  2. Enter the address of your website, e.g. http://mein-wordpress-blog.de, but don’t press enter yet.
  3. Enter the letters /wp-admin after the address of the website.
  4. With the above example, the complete login URL then looks like this: http://mein-wordpress-blog.de/wp-admin.
  5. Alternatively, you can also enter /wp-login.php after the address.
  6. It would then look like this: http://mein-wordpress-blog.de/wp-login.
  7. Then you confirm your input with Enter and get to the login screen.
