WordPress Login Url und Anmeldeseite

This is how you get to the admin area

“How do I log into WordPress” is one of the most common questions asked about WordPress. Certainly not a problem for experienced WordPress users. But beginners often have a hard time understanding the URL of their WordPress login page to find. In this article I will show you how to find your WordPress login url.

The login page is like the front door to the admin area, i.e. the dashboard of your website. Once you’re logged in, you can create new posts, add new pages, change the theme, add plugins, etc.

How do I find the WordPress login link?

With a typical WordPress installation from a good web hosting provider, all you need to do is append /login/ or /admin/ to the end of your site’s URL.

For example:

These two URLs will redirect you to the WordPress login page. If for some reason your WordPress login url is not working properly, you can easily access the WordPress login page using this URL:

Now if you have WordPress installed in a subdirectory like /wordpress/ then you would need to access your WordPress blog login page like this:

If you have WordPress installed on a subdomain, then you can access the WordPress login page as follows:

Once you’re logged in, you’ll be taken to your site’s WordPress admin panel, located in the wp-admin folder.

You can access your admin panel directly by entering your site’s URL as follows:

This URL checks whether you were previously logged in and whether your session is still active. If both apply, you will be redirected to the WordPress dashboard. When the session expires, you will be redirected to the WordPress login page.

How to remember the WordPress login page in WordPress

If you find it difficult to remember your WordPress login link, then we recommend bookmarking it in your browser’s bookmarks bar. Alternatively, you can add your WordPress login link in your site’s footer, sidebar, or menu. There are two very easy ways to do this.

The first option is to add the WordPress login link to the menus. Simply log into the WordPress admin panel and click on the left side designmenus walk.

Add WordPress login url to menu

Then just click Custom Links to expand it and add the WordPress login link and some text like Login. Then click the Add to Menu button to add that link to the menu. Of course you have to save the changes you made.

The second option is to use the default widget called Meta. This widget adds a link to the login page, links to the site’s RSS feeds, and a link to the WordPress.org site.

WordPress login url in meta widget

Simply go to the left-hand menu in the WordPress admin area design on widget walk. As seen in the screenshot, there is a widget called Meta. Simply click and insert it at the desired position in the sidebar or in the footer.

If you want it even easier, you can even display a login form directly in the sidebar. The easiest way to do this is with a corresponding plugin, such as Sidebar Login. The plugin is a bit older, but should still work.

Summary and conclusion

There are several ways to log into the admin area. But what I would recommend for security reasons: No visible links to WordPress login url put on the website. That just makes it unnecessarily easy for attackers. All you have to do is remember what to add to your web address in order to log into the WordPress admin area.
