secIT Digital: How to protect companies from targeted cyber attacks

secIT Digital will take place online on September 13th and 14th, 2022. Participation is easy via a web browser. After the live video streams, the speakers will be available for questions. The editors of c’t, heise Security and iX selected the editorial, ad-free programme. Before and after there are in-depth all-day workshops on various IT security topics. Tickets are available in the online shop.

On September 13, one of the topics will be what role global cyber war plays for companies. The keynote clarifies who is at risk and how high the risk really is. In addition, Michael Veit, Technology Evangelist Sophos, gives important tips on how companies can position themselves for the future in terms of cyber war defense.

dr Yvonne Bernard, Chief Technical Officer Hornet Security, assesses the risk of supply chain attacks in the panel discussion.

The second part of the day is dedicated to supply chain attacks. The serious vulnerability in the Java logging library Log4j has once again demonstrated how dangerous software dependencies can be. Jan Mahn, senior editor of c’t, shows that many companies often know surprisingly little about the software they use. In the panel discussion, several experts assess the risk of supply chain attacks.

Do you know how to behave most effectively when attackers are already on your own network? You can prepare for this and the topic of incident response makes up a large part of the second day of secIT Digital.

At the end of the day, the focus is on the secure operation of Active Directory and there is an outlook on the current situation in IT security.

On September 8th, the all-day workshop will focus on the security of Windows 10/11 in corporate use. On September 9th, the focus will be on the use of Microsoft 365 and Office 365 in companies. On September 21, you can acquire the tools as a digital first aider to be optimally prepared for IT security incidents.

You can book a free “Sponsored Ticket” for the event in the ticket shop until August 31, 2022. If you decide to do so, you agree that the organizer Heise Medien GmbH & Co. KG and the sponsoring partner of secIT Digital may receive the personal data provided during registration and contact the participant concerned for advertising purposes. A standard ticket without data release costs 179 euros for both days. The workshops cost 799 euros.
