Mind Maps in MS Teams – a combination with power
Who doesn’t know MS Teams, the collaboration platform from Microsoft. Last but not least, it has become known for its video conferencing function during overnight remote work caused by the pandemic. If you want to maximize the added value of MS Teams, we recommend the interaction of MindManager and MS Teams.
Together, the positive effects are even more powerful than when both solutions are used separately.
New collaboration dimension
Collaboration between employees is crucial, especially when colleagues are in different locations. This is also the reason for the success of MS Teams. The new MindManager integration for Microsoft Teams adds important options to the existing Teams functions. Projects, planning, brainstorming, whiteboarding and much more can be carried out without having to leave the Teams platform.
Users can easily navigate within MS Teams via MindManager and, for example, collaborate within maps in real time using the co-editing function. This has the advantage that all changes are displayed immediately and everyone is kept up to date. The Teams integration also makes it possible to start MindManager sessions directly in Teams.
The interaction of the two platforms also gives the team members extensive opportunities to use MindManager templates, libraries, project plans, etc. This helps, for example, when setting up and implementing plans and projects. For example, thanks to the MindManager integration, they can assign priority markers, resources, tags, project estimates, deadlines and other important information to each other. In this way, everyone keeps an overview and has the same level of information. Ultimately, this also makes approval processes less complicated.
From the idea to implementation
The added value is primarily due to the strong visual impact of the mind mapping format, which above all facilitates communication and the exchange of relevant information. But the rich toolbox that project teams get at hand through the combination of MS Teams and MindManager also has a large share in the improvements. Regardless of whether information is to be recorded quickly and intuitively in mind maps, flow charts or schedules, or whether it is a question of defining processes, making decisions or documenting processes – the map function in MS Teams brings advantages at a wide variety of levels.

MindManager & Teams – an unbeatable team
The functions of the two platforms complement each other optimally and offer the user numerous work simplifications in daily business:

MindManager & Teams in practice
“On large projects, we use MindManager to create a ’12 meter’ view so we can clearly see what’s going on. From there we can switch to a sub-project to discuss the necessary measures or to get a visual impression of it.”
