City could not reach vehicle owners
Hanover (pm). As part of the course security for the HAJ-Hannover-Marathon 2022, 312 vehicles had to be towed away at the edge of the course. This figure is higher than the comparative figures for previous years. When the event was last held in 2019, there were 208 vehicles, compared to 215 vehicles the year before. Apparently, the 2-year break has had an impact on the perception and acceptance of the stopping ban.
In principle, the city tries to identify the owners before the towing measures so that they can remove their vehicle themselves. This is only possible to a very limited extent, since fewer and fewer people are listed in the telephone book with their telephone number and can be reached at short notice.
