Summer vacation has just begun for many, but Apple is already thinking about the time to return. With the “Back to School” offer, the Californian IT group is at least giving a positive touch to the resumption of learning work. In addition to the education discount that is already granted, there are additional benefits this year. According to the company, the campaign runs until September 26th.
Voucher instead of AirPods
The focus is on a gift card for Apple products worth 150 euros. These are available to buyers of a Mac with an educational discount. In previous promotions, Apple added AirPods instead, so the gift card gives buyers a lot more options. However, the AirPods cost a little more at 180 euros at the time – so the discount was higher if someone wanted the wireless headphones anyway.
In addition, Apple grants a 20 percent discount on its Apple Care+ warranty extension. Other extras such as free engraving for certain devices and free delivery are also a matter of course for buyers without a discount – but they are still granted here. After a one-month test phase, the Apple Music and Apple TV+ streaming services are also available at a reduced price of EUR 5.99 per month.
What is currently on offer
Apple is currently offering the MacBook Air with M1 chip, the new MacBook Air M2, the 13-inch MacBook Pro, the 14-inch MacBook Pro, the 16-inch MacBook Pro, the iMac, the iPad Air and the iPad Pro for education at reduced prices .
Not for students
Although the title of the campaign suggests otherwise, students do not benefit from school discounts. Instead, Apple only gives the benefits to current and newly admitted students at colleges, as well as to faculty and staff. Eligibility reconciliation occurs through a website or in person at Apple Stores. Parents can also get the education discount on purchases for their student children.
