Disney at D23 Expo – Avatar: The Way of the Water + Approximately 20 Star Wars/Marvel Movies and TV Shows

Last weekend, Disney held the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California (such events are held every six months), where they showed many trailers, teasers and short scenes from upcoming films and TV shows in 2022-2023. Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios and 20th Century Studios focused on Disney Plus streaming movies and TV shows, as well as new entries in the Star Wars and Marvel franchises. Gathered together all the announcements and trailers from the two-hour event.

Unfortunately, previews of some of the most anticipated premieres were only shown to attendees who had a ticket and were physically present at the event. That means everyone else will have to wait a bit for the first footage from movies like Ironheart, Indiana Jones 5 or Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania. At the same time, Disney immediately published online a lot of trailers and teasers for future films and series.

The series “Willow» / Willow

A direct sequel to the 1988 film of the same name, which was originally intended to be the first of four planned installments. The original script was written by George Lucas and directed by Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind). In the center of the plot is the wizard Willow from the undersized people of the Nelvins. Few believe in him, but he had an important mission of saving the world from an evil witch. The hero will be helped by a teenage girl, a goat turned into a sorceress, a swordsman, two brownies (British brownies) and a princess. The show takes place 20 years after the original film.

At first glance, “Willow” looks like an epic fantasy like the sensational “House of the Dragon” and “The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power” and, apparently, the Disney series will differ from the sensational shows of HBO and Amazon primarily in humor. Premieres November 30th on Disney+.
